Sods Law was founded by John P Taylor, Nev Reed and Tony Ord in 2002 following the break up of PAF.  Pete Flint joined Big Sister and sadly Jock retired.

The rest of us locked ourselves in the recording studio at Mirage Music and made a five track demo to give to prospective bass players, Nev named the band during these sessions. We auditioned several good men but ended up with Jason Seed.  Unfortunately Nev decided that life on the road was no longer for him and decided to leave and concentrate on recording his own material, beer and "the Boro".  Nev was a recent finalist in the Sony Music Songwriters Awards.

Back to the auditions; this time for a new guitarist.  The process, luckily, was a quick one and Steve "Diddler" Dodds was soon up to speed and we were treading the boards of the North East.  Things were going well so we went back in the studio and recorded a 10 track album; shortly after Steve emigrated!  John and I were just starting to think that what people say about us may be true; was it time for us to retire?  Jason's constant moaning persuaded us to audition for another guitarist.

The process was a difficult one this time but one player stood out well above the rest; welcome Geoff Keeler.  Incidentally one of the  lads we turned down subsequently gained a million pound record contract and world tour?

The band is again going from strength to strength; Geoff has proved to all that we can still pick out a great player.  There is talk of a new album in 2008 and even a live DVD (Jay has started doing his hair already)!

Thanks to all of you that have consistently followed us over the years or if you have not seen us yet give us the chance to show you what you have been missing soon!
